The Palisade Peach Fest 5-miler is back for its fourth year!

The 2009 Peach Fest race is being produced by Ascent Productions, Inc. API is a Grand Junction based event production company that for this event is working in conjunction with the Palisade Chamber of Commerce. Please make sure to check out www.palisadepeachfest.com for all of the weekend’s activities!

For many years there has been a run/walk event associated with the Peach Festival. And NEW for 2009 we have added a 3-mile run/walk in addition to the 5-mile race. Palisade’s Riverbend Park again provides the perfect opportunity to hold the event where it is 95% trail or path running and virtually traffic free.

This year’s race starts promptly at 8:00 AM on Saturday, August 15th. Both courses start and end at Taylor Elementary School and head toward the flowing waters of the Colorado River.

The return leg takes advantage of the trails created within the Disc-Golf course and run/walk some exciting single-track under the shade of huge cottonwoods. Just for kicks, the lone uphill is near the finish and gives participants a short challenge before the finish line. Refreshments, music and, of course, peaches courtesy of High Country Orchards will be available.

Course

Participants run from Taylor Elementary down to Riverbend Park running along the Colorado River’s edge. Race Packet Pick Up

You will be able to pick up your race number, t-shirt, and wrist band for entry in to the Peach Fest Saturday morning from 7:00-7:45 AM at Taylor Elementary School.

Fees

Mesa Monument Striders will receive a $2 discount (please use the mail in form)

Early registration is $25 until August 5th. Your registration guarantees you a t-shirt and entry in to the Palisade Peach Fest!

Late and Race Day Registration is available. After August 5th registration cost is $30. If you are mailing your registration in it must be post marked by no later than August 10th. RACE DAY registration will be at Taylor Elementary starting at 7:00 AM. Cost is $30.00 and includes a t-shirt (while they last) and entry in to Peach Fest.

Prizes

The top 3 Male/Female racers in each event, 3-mile and 5-mile race, will receive awards.

Payment/Refund Policies

No refunds will be allowed for any Ascent Productions, Inc events (hereafter "API"), regardless of the reasons. If an athlete registers for any API event and cannot attend due to illness, injuries or personal reasons your registration fee will not be refunded, but may be deferred for the following year only.

Weather Policy

This is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
