Ascent Productions, Inc. is proud to announce the second annual GOLD MAN Triathlon hosted on Saturday September 18th, 2010 at Highline State Park in Loma, CO. This venue provides a very scenic backdrop of the Book Cliff Mountains and the Colorado National Monument.
GOLD MAN Triathlon Course: This course will include a .9-mile swim, 24-mile road bike and 6.2 mile trail run. Swimmers will start on the beach of Highline Lake and proceed to swim in a counter clock wise direction. Swimmers will complete two 750m laps of the swim course then exit to the transition one and make the change to the bike, the ride will exit the park. Riders will be challenged with a fast yet hilly bike course. Transition two, the Runners will then traverse the up and down single track trail run course to the finish atop the dam.

USAT Sanctioning
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned race. You must be a member and have
your membership card with you or pay a one-day event fee of $10 via online
registration. Someone else may not pick up your packet for you.
RELAY TEAMS
Please show up together, we cannot release all of your race needs to just
one member. We must also see ALL I.D.’s, and all must either pay the $10.00
USAT fee OR be USAT members, and show proof thereof.

La Quinta Inn - You must book by 8/13 to receive special rate. Cancellations must be made by 8/30 to avoid penalty. Each room has a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Continental breakfast is included with room.
Highline State Park Info
Camping
Campsites are available and being held by the park for this event. Camping spaces are being held for the event for Friday, 9/17 and Saturday 9/18. The park has PAY SHOWERS available and all spots are all closely located to the start/finish area (approx. 50-150 yards)

Body Markings
ALL participants must be body marked prior to the start of the race. Please come to the registration area at Highline State Park between 6:45 AM - 7:30 AM to be marked and pick up your chip.
Awards/Race Shirts
The GOLD MAN Triathlon will be doing age group awards. We have great sponsors that will be contributing to these gift packs. Winner Gift Packs will be available post event for pick up at Race Results table.
Each participant will receive a dri-fit race shirt and post event lunch provided by Einstein Bros Bagels.

Directions
Drive west on I-70 west from Grand Junction to Loma Exit, then north onto Colorado Highway 139 for six miles to Q Road. Go west on Q road for 1.2 miles, turn north onto 11.8 Road for one mile to the park entrance. 970.858.7208
Payment/Refund Policies
No refunds will be allowed for any Ascent Productions, Inc events (hereafter "API"), regardless of the reasons. If an athlete registers for any API event and cannot attend due to illness, injuries or personal reasons your registration fee will not be refunded, but rather you will be given a partial discount for the same event for the following year. Weather Policy
This is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
