2012 US BANK Rim Rock Marathon
2012 will mark the 4th year for the US BANK Rim Rock Marathon, continuing a 20-year tradition of having a run that traverses the Colorado National Monument. This venue provides epic views and a world class running course. We invite you to join us and experience this amazing run with one of the country's most scenic courses.

Marathon Cut Off Information
All runners must reach Cold Shivers aid station at mile 4.5, top of first major climb by 9:30am. Runners must also reach the Visitor's Center pull out above the West Entrance at mile 19.2 by 1:00pm (race start is at 8:00am, giving a runner 5 hours to complete this distance).

There will be 10 rest stops located on the course. Seven of these will be complete stops with water, electrolyte replacement and gels. There will also be a compliment of salty and sweet snacks and fruit. One of the rest stops (located at the exit of the West Entrance) will be hydration only serving water and electrolyte replacement drinks. We will be providing GU energy gels and gatorade.

Both Fruita Hotel locations are within walking distance to the finish line.
*La Quinta Inn - Fruita is the official race hotel. Please book by 10/13 to receive special rate. Cancellations must be made by 10/31 to avoid penalty. Each room has a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Continental breakfast is included with room.
Please note that the finish line is inside a State Park. If you are not a participant of the event the regular State Park parking fees will apply. Please visit James M Robb Colorado River State Park website for parking fees.

This is a point to point marathon and we will be providing shuttles to the start location.
Runners please plan on taking the shuttle to the start line as there is not any official parking at the start location. There will also not be any shuttles taking participants back to the Start Line from the Finish Line. Please plan on arriving to James M. Robb Colorado River State Park - Fruita, in enough time to park and load the shuttle by 7:00AM.
Shuttles will depart James M Robb Colorado River State Park - Fruita at 7:00AM sharp, fo the start.
Special Note: Please be advised if you choose to drive to the start location there is no event parking available. We STRONGLY urge everyone to utilize the shuttle system. Also, there will be NO POST EVENT SHUTTLES. Cars will be towed if left at the start area.
**RACE CLOTHING – If you need to shed layers of clothing during the race, please drop your clothing at an aid station. We will pick up your items and have them at the finish area for you to pick up when you finish.

No refunds will be allowed for any Ascent Productions, Inc events (hereafter "API"), regardless of the reasons. If an athlete registers for any API event and cannot attend due to illness, injuries or personal reasons your registration fee will not be refunded.
This is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
