Ascent Productions, Inc. was formed in 2004 when Amy Reed left Corporate America with her passion for events and the desire to have her own event productions company. In 2007 Amy and Chris began combining their experience in event production and in 2009 they have merged their two companies and joined together as Ascent Productions, Inc. They both have backgrounds rich in event production and combined they bring each client over 18 years of experience.

For five years Amy was the Director of Operations for the professional cycling race the Tour de Georgia where she managed an operating budget of $750,000. Amy has also worked on the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) ride series and continues to produce social and corporate events.

In 2007 Chris and Amy both joined the production team of the Lance Armstrong’s Foundation LIVESTRONG Challenge Series. From 2007 to present Chris manages the local marketing and outreach efforts for each of the four events and heads up the local organizing committees in each city.

Together, Chris and Amy have produced the Raisin Hope Foundation Ride and play key operation roles in the Amgen Tour of California and the USA Cycling Professional Championships. 2009 will mark the year that Amy and Chris are bringing their experience to their hometown of Grand Junction, CO by producing two events, the GOLD MAN Triathlon and the Rim Rock Marathon.
